My wife, 5'10" ~125lb rocks size Large, and it's perfect. It's so light that it she wears it for almost everything she does...bike rides, skiing, rock climbing, hiking, runs, and foggy walks on the beach. No issues with waterproofing. She usually throws a pata nano-puff vest underneath when it's chilly. Highly recommended as a light weight travel do it all shell.
If you want to stay dry, this is the jacket for you. It kept me totally dry as I filmed a football game in a down pour. It’s great!!!
The hood fit is loose and limits peripheral sight.
I wasn’t looking forward to two December weeks in rainy, chilly weather in Portland and Seattle but my Arc’teryx jacket saved the day. I sized it big enough to fit over light down jackets and sweaters and I remained toasty and dry. Took a while to get hood adjusted so it didn’t cover my eyes but that might have been operator error. it was a perfect companion for my trip.
Had high hopes for this jacket, but the fit did not work for me: sleeves 4" too long, and too narrow to accommodate layers. Armpits were uncomfortably tight just with a lightweight puffy or a fleece underneath. Sending this one back! (5'3", 140 lbs, ordered a M)
Love the fit and the hood. Elastic rim at hood is perfect.

Does this shell have some kind of lining so that it doesn't get clammy in warmer weather? I'd like to use this as a skiing shell in the winter, but I live in Honolulu and would like it to be a practical, not too hot, rain shell when I'm home. Thank you!
This jacket does not have a liner. However, the Gore-Tex PacLite is designed to be highly breathable and the pit zips allow you to dump excess heat. This jacket is a good choice for warm and rainy conditions. We recommend layering sufficiently if you intend to wear this jacket skiing.
