Salomon - XA Comp 8 Trail-Running Shoes - Women's

Category: Women's Running Shoes

I have had at least 4 pairs of Salomon XA Comps -- I adore them. They last well but I wear them out because they are my go-to shoe for all kinds of hiking.

I purchased this shoe for a trip and the fit is good for my hard to fit foot. I have not taken long walks yet but plan to soon. Very supportive and comfortable out of the box

I use this shoe on the track, hiking and the treadmill!!

My training hikes have included fire roads, dirt roads, rocky steep trails and beaches with lots of sand. These shoes have worked excellently for me on each and every terrain. I chose them on the advice from an REI staff member and I mentally thank him every day!

I have delt with awkward feet and blisters my whole life. I love the look and feel of hiking boots but can never stay comfortable in them. These shoes were very easy to break in and I love how easy the "laces" are! I have been using these for about 2 months now in my backpack and they are a great addition to my around the world trip. I would highly recommend! Super cute and casual too :)

Didn't even make it half a mile on the trail in these...had to hobble back to my car. I have high arches and a wide foot. These felt true to size, the color is a bit "muddier" than the image depicts, and they appear to be as well made as my Salomon hikers. Felt like my outer calf was on fire. Can't image trying to break them in.

I have a difficult time walking in the same shoe all day long. For example on a vacation sightseeing and being on my feet all day. These Salomon's stood up to the test on my recent vacation. I would totally recommend them to anyone who has a difficult time being on their feet all day.

I found these through trail and error, because I have a bunion on my left foot. These provide great support but never cause any rubbing or blisters. My only wish is they would make them with vibram soles. I have to get new ones quite frequently because of sole wear.

I like these shoes, they are supportive and grippy and instantly comfortable. For the discounted price, I will keep them. But, they are for dry days only. I went off the path today and squished into a puddle, and my feet were sloshing around for the next hour.

These shoes seemed very comfy, but I had to add an orthotic to them for my problem feet. Once I did that, my heels slipped when I walked. I was not fond of the speed lacing system. Tucking the buckles into the pocket leaves a big bugle at the ankle.

This shoe does not at all compare to the quality of the XA Comp 7. The materials are thins and the toe box is too wide. So much less foot support in this shoe. So disappointed they discontinued the XA Comp7. Solomon quality is on the decline.

I love how comfortable it is, not narrow, went on my first hike with them, felt perfect, but the rope laces get a little loose, doesn't hold tight. I might return and get another to make sure maybe this one I have is defective.

I log 3-6 miles of walking daily and this shoe is a great fit with excellent support. I have a skinny foot with narrow heel and mid to high arch and this shoe hugs my foot with no slipping in the heel and room for toes.

Based on other reviews, I went up a half size, but the shoe slips on the heel, so I need to return. I think it would fit just right at my regular sizing, but now its out of stock!

I tried the newer version 8 and I returned. Too small in toe box. Sad replacement....loved the 7. It would be nice if next version is exactly like the XCOMP 7. I would buy it .

This is not officially a stability shoe, but the wide outer heel makes the shoe incredibly stable, whether walking around town or running trails.

I just received 2 pairs of sneakers. Both have obvious signs of wear. Very disappointed with REI!

Good shoes just does not fit as well as my other
