I love these boots. I wear them for everything. Hiking trails, to work, outings, pretty much everywhere. Very light weight and comfortable. Seem pretty waterproof as I've had them in shallow creeks with no leakage
I purchased these for my boyfriend who had never worn hiking boots before. He couldn't believe how much more comfortable they are than his walking shoes. Very lightwieght with plenty of toe room.
I own an older pair, I think targhee ii, which I love. After years of use one of the seams started to come apart in a way I couldn't fix to keep them waterproof. I ordered the same size for a replacementabd the fit feels all wrong. Too narrow, too long, the arch support is in the wrong spot. I wore them for 5 minutes in the house and knew there was no way I could stand hiking in them.
The top lace hook popped off the boot the first time I tried to use them, the hook was poorly rivited to the boot. I returned this pair and bought another pair of Keens which appear to be better constructed with the hooks sewn in as well as rivits.
These are definitely good day hikers. They are sturdy and comfortable to wear hiking, around town, doing yard work, and at the end of the day, you won’t be in a huge hurry to take them off.
Good for general hiking. Did not work well with crampon for hike on glacier in Iceland. Per our guide its toes are not narrow enough to fit in crampon
Excellent footwear. Comfortable, supportive, great traction and light weight. Got it for a killer price. It is an excellent value.
Wore these boots in the Colorado wilderness last week, and I was very impressed by how comfortable they were.
I really like these boots.. light weight yet supportive. I would buy again.
