All my life my heals wore on the inside as did my soles. Finally I had a lot of pain. When I put these on, I couldn’t believe the difference. With help from the shoe people I could implement my program to walk straighter, toe to heal. This was my third pair in three years. I alternate between my second and third pair and am walking easily and jogging a little. Never any pain.
I really like this shoe, it's not the first time I have bought Brooks Ghost. I also have Ghost 10, but I really like the color, fit and comfort of this shoe right out of the box. I won't buy a shoe unless it's comfortable out of the box. I'm going to buy another pair as my back up when I wear out this pair. I have been wearing them for work and to the gym.
Toe guard is inside the webbing, which is weird and not practical since it will likely tear sooner. Also my SOLE inserts do not fit the same as in the 10, and end up giving me a blister, so just kept the original thin soles with minimal support. Other than that, pretty much the same good running shoe.
The shoe is light and breathable. It has a decent drop but I got blisters on the side of my foot from the structure inside. I figure id give it time to break in but new blisters just keep getting created. It could be a person to person issue. I will be returning them and trying something else.
Brooks stopped making the Defyance model shoe and I saw this was Brook's recommended replacement for it. I need a stiff shoe and this is not nearly as stiff as the old Defyance shoe. It is comfortable and fits well, but does not give the same support as my previous shoes.
Took some time to get use to the new feel. Wish they had half sizes after 12 but ...
I have had these shoes for over 2 months and they are so comfortable I use them as my everyday shoes. They slip on and off but stay tight while wearing.
Well the first pair had a issue but REI traded me out and now I'm a happy camper. Great shoe fits like a glove and awesome good looks.
These shoes are so comfortable and don’t require “breaking in”. They are supportive and not constricting on the foot at all.
