Arc'teryx - Zeta FL Rain Jacket - Men's

Category: Men's Jackets

I just went out in the pouring rain with this jacket. It performed brilliantly! I was lucky enough to catch this when it was half off a few days ago and I’m so glad I did. I had a Marmot Goretex before and lost it. The goretex worked ok on that jacket. This is definitely on a different level. Very impressed so far! I usually get a small but this ran a little right so I went with a medium

This 2 layer Gortex jacket does get clammy against bare skin and is not as breathable as Gortex Pro garments which is why I marked it down 1 star. I also own the Zeta LT and Beta AR as a reference. For spring and summer, this Jacket has been my go to for 3 reasons. Its super light, comfortable and effective. As an added bonus it is not stiff or as crinkly like other shells. It can be worn on a hike, in the city or simply as a rain jacket. This is meant to be an emergency shell and is not as durable and the LT or AR but as a simply rain jacket in my opinion, its perfect. Be advised that so far I have only tested the jacket in 30 minutes of constant rain but outside of the clamminess, I was completely dry from start to finish. My Beta AR Large is broad in the shoulders, body and arms for layering, A Large in this jacket more form fitting . I do wish they had more colors. Hope this review helps.

Quality Arc'teryx shell. Very packable and works great as an emergency shell for hikes. Haven't been in cold or chilly conditions, but I expect it'll layer nicely with a fleece or another insulating layer underneath. Just what I was looking for in a shell.

Fit is good and true to size but the jacket is very noisy. If you don’t mind a lot of swishing and crackling you’ll be nice and dry in this jacket but if you’re like me and use this outdoors and at work it’s way too noisy.

Best jacket took it to Europe had it in the day pack and it was ready anytime it was needed.

Yeah it's expensive but wow, the quality. Fits perfect and is functional - no regerts =)

Okay, I bought this in large right before heading to Poland for 3 varied weeks, and when it came in I ordered the medium to see if the fit got better. I liked the room in the jacket, though the much focused-upon sleeve and hem elastic were anything but fitting to my wrists or hem. I didn't mind the hem being loose, but the wrists could mean water running down my sleeve if I lift my arms in rain.
