REI Co-op - Amorphum Utility Parka - Men's

This parka comes close to a Dutch Army Cold weather parka I had as a teenager, which was the warmest piece of clothing I ever owned.

I was looking for a good insulated parka for walking my dogs in the cold weather. I looked at many different web sites trying to find something that would work. I didn't want anything too bulky but wanted it to be warm and water resistant (if it's raining or snowing too hard I won't stay out as long anyway LOL). I stumbled upon this on the REI web page and decided to go to my local store and check it out. The medium fit perfectly and the length is great for keeping me warm. The pockets are lined so they keep my hands warm and I can fit my hands in with my dog's leashes so there is plenty of room and the location of the pockets is perfect for me.I am about 5'10" and 190 lbs. The zipper goes right up to my chin and there is enough room there so it's not constricting at all. I can zip it all the way and it's like having a scarf. With the hood up it protects the sides of my face as well. The wind is kept out very well with the flap over the zipper. Where I live is very windy and my heavy leather coat never blocked the wind as well as this much lighter coat. The price was right for this as well I think for the price I have something that will keep me warm all winter and hopefully for many more to come.

I got this jacket on clearance and absolutely love it. It is comfortable and warm and I got it big enough to layer under. It has adjustable drawstrings for whatever I layer under it so it always fits. I wanted a soft textile jacket and not rainproof goretex, which is great in the snow and rain but not always as comfortable when it’s just cold. I am very very happy.

I originally ordered the XL. It was too big and i returned it. Over sized in the chest and the sleeves were long. I am 6’ 240 lb and the large fits well. Sleeves and length are just right. I have worn it outdoors a couple times and found it is well insulated with the liner in. Toasty warm. Overall it is a great parka and i am glad to have purchased it.

I got a good price on it so thought I would try it. I've always wanted a cool parka like this. It feels good, is big enough to wear clothes underneath but turns out I really don't need it. It is pretty plan and lacks any kind of style that would set it apart from other jackets.

Bought this in Denver where it can be a bit cold. I really enjoy this Jacket. It has not failed to keep me warm. If I get too warm it has a liner that comes out held in with buttons. I nice looking jacket that is functional.

Love this item runs a little large. Im 6 3 240 and the xl fits great. Warm and toasty in 40 degree. Removable and wearable pocketed liner adds to its versatility. Outer shell makes a great hoodie jacket.

I bought this coat for my son. It's a great length and the lining really helps keep him warm. Nice to have a removable liner too for those days it's not needed. Great buy!

Versatile coat with a classic mod look, but cut very large. Choose a size down from your measurements to avoid feeling like you are wearing an army tent.

I stumbled upon this parka on a clearance rack at my local REI and love the understated look! Will any more small size parkas be available???

The liner and weight of the coat make it a great for winter and the length ensures no cold breezes when you bend over.

This is a great and versatile jacket. For an REI brand jacket, it is pretty fashionable. It does run large.
