HOKA ONE ONE - Clifton 6 Road-Running Shoes - Men's

Category: Men's Running Shoes

Been waiting for this shoe for thirty years! No shin splints, no tired calves, no tired feet. Finally put a smile back on my face while running.

I've had issues with my lower back hurting after a 3+ mile run for years. I've worn New Balance and Nike's for the last few years and while they were comfortable they just didn't seem to have enough cushion. These are my first pair of Hoka's and after 5 runs I have to say they are incredible. Unbelievable cushion.....my back no longer hurts after running!

I have been wearing Assics Gel Cumulus shoes for a long time, but found the soles of my feet feeling hot and tired if I ran more than 5 miles. I switched to the Hoka Clifton and my feet feel great. They are more cushiony, but that doesn't make them feel unstable.

I got the wide and I'm glad because they are a little snug. Usually wides are a little to big on me. Very light shoes, if the strings wasn't so snug across the top of my foot it would be perfect. Lots of cushion almost feels like ground is giving when you step. I can feel the cushion more in the heel vs toe area. Nice shoe for the sale price. Don't know that I would pay full price for this shoe.

Finally I got the right pair of shoes for long distance. Everything in this pair of shoes is perfect for me!

Great cushioning and lightweight make these shoes an easy buy.

Last month visited the REI at 1376 Woodmen Rd, Colorado Springs searching for a comfortable walking shoe. The sales person introduced me to a few shoes. I purchased the Hoka One and it has served as my every day shoe. I am considering getting a similar shoe for my problem feet.

Let me start by summarizing my past history of injuries. I've been a runner since 2008 but in 2015, developed plantar fasciitis. That took about a year to get through and then along came tarsal tunnel syndrome. Got through that eventually. In the summer of 2018, I developed Achilles Tendinitis to my right foot. That has for the most part resolved but I still have a small Haglund Deformity to the rear area of my right ankle. I'm managing it now without surgery. I tell you all this because I think this shoe is superior for anyone who has struggled with foot/ankle injuries in the past and just want to get back to running. I first bought these and ran in them 3 or 4 times. I didn't know if they were the right shoe for me, mainly because of how odd it felt running in them. I took them back to REI and exchanged for the Saucony Triumph 17. Now I have also traditionally been a Saucony guy so that led me back to them. I ran the following day in the Triumph and ran 7 minutes and knew right away the Clifton is the shoe for me and I am going back to get it. Not that the Triumph was a bad shoe, it was comfortable but I could tell the Clifton was more what I needed. I went back and got the Clifton and am not looking back. After I run in the Clifton, my feet feel great, and my right Achilles doesn't bother me at all. From what I read on line, the rocker style movement takes tension off of the Achilles so it is working great for me. These shoes aren't for everyone, hence why not everyone has bought into them and why you do see a negative review from time to time. If you have a history like me or just want an incredibly comfortable shoe, give them a shot!

Excellent support and comfortable shoe. I am on my feet 10 hours a day and these shoes have made an incredible difference. I walk between 3 to 5 miles each day just walking around our small campus. My son is an ultra marathon runner and suggested the Hoka and I'm glad he did.

I did some homework and bought these for my 81 year old father-in-law after both knee replaced surgery. He was pretty much healed and getting back into walking. During his 3 week visit, once he put them on he kept them on. Enjoyed long walks and commented several times about the comfort. He normally wears a 10.5 EEE but the EE accommodated his feet perfectly because the upper material is so flexible. They are snug but not too tight. He loves them. As soon as they go on sale I'm getting myself a pair. :)

First pair of Hokas and they are great! They help tremendously to cushion the impact of running/walking on concrete and asphalt. I also like that they have wide sizes. Fit seemed true to size for my 10 1/2 wide.

This shoe is incredible. Obviously, very comfortable but not too mushy. I love the pull tab on the heel. They also look amazing. I have to resist wearing them to work every day. I am buying a 2nd pair for sure.

Several friends recommended this brand, so figured worth a try to get a comfortable shoe to wear following knee replacement. Ordered my normal size, but immediately found , at least with this pair, that the toe box is way too tight. In addition I believe this pair was on the last crooked or the assembler is cross eyed because they have a definite in-toe attitude. In addition to the misalignment and tight toe box,the sole material is too soft for a stable platform.

I bought these thinking it would be easier on my legs as the miles and my age increased. My first run out I developed this knee pain which I have never had before. I returned them later that afternoon. I could have not transitioned between shoes properly which may have been too big of an adjustment for me. Either way, I didn't really like the extra cushion but I'm glad I tried them, and I am glad REI took them back.

This shoe could be my future choice deciding upon the first 400k/250. But at this point I got a hole between the upper and the sole on the inner side of both shoes. this is too early for shoes considered to be a serious brand for runners. I find it very disappointing! I looked at the internet and I am not the only person encountering this problem. So I hope that Hoka will do something about this problem.

I run average 2 miles 5 days/week..i decided to upgrade my Ghost series and this my first pair of the Clifton 6 in wide. and they are super comfortable!! and soft on my knees. I really like the design! and the colors too.

Runs a little large in the toe area, I had to size down, but otherwise amazingly comfortable.

Great shoe when your on your feet most of day, especially if you have feet issues.

First pair and happy with them. Very comfortable and easy on the knees.

Well made, sturdy, yet light weight, comfy, running and/or walking shoes.

Very comfortable shoe. Size is true to usual size. Good for walking.

I needed a nice big toebox and got just what I wanted

Comfort all day long. Great compression and softness
