I needed a pair of all-around winter shoes and I’m a sucker for good quality leather so I tried these on in-store for sizing. I usually wear between 8.5-10 depending on style and brand and 9.5 in these fit great! Definitely wide enough to accommodate my feet and winter socks and comfortable enough right out of the box to wear again and again with no breaking in required like other leather boots I’ve had. The insulation keeps my feet quite toasty and the style is versatile. I wore them on an impromptu, muddy hike and they held up great and cleaned right up afterwards. Each boot does have a slightly different tone/sheen to it which sort of irked me at first but that’s the nature of leather and since wearing them a few times, it’s less noticeable. They’re great!
These boots tick all the boxes. They are super warm for the winter and they get so many compliments! I love the design. Be aware, they are super narrow. I've had them a year and they've stretched a lot. I'd recommend trying them on before purchasing.
I love these! I too, had to order a half size up but I'm glad I did. They fit perfect now!
I haven't taken my boots for a spin yet but so far I love them! I'm a size 8.5 and have always gotten size 9 in boots for enough comfortable toe room but these in a size 9 ended up being too big. The 8.5 is perfect with room for wool socks. They feel warm and sturdy. I like that they look good enough for casual wear since I don't want to pack more shoes than necessary if I'm traveling overseas and want to hike. I'm excited to put them to the test in Iceland soon!
Kodiak boots are too small and tight. I have relatively small feet, size 6.5/7. I could barely squeeze my foot into a size 8. This has been the case for all Kodiak boots I've tried.
Bought these as my latest pair of brown short boots. I really like that they're waterproof, have nice treads, and the contrasting color laces. They're really warm as well. Having just moved to the Midwest, they've kept my feet warm while waiting for the bus, even with just tights or thinner socks on. Laces stay tied and are easily removable if you need to shine the shoes.
