Honey Stinger - Energy Gel Packet

Category: Camp Kitchen

I decided to give this gel a try instead of the usual Gu or Hammer during a long run up the hills, and I must say I was very plesantly surprised with the product. It is just like honey but less gooey which means it went down a little easier. The colour of the gel is bright yellow - looks weird - but hey, it works very well. I loved the taste as it is more natural than the other energy gels. No stomach cramps or problems with it. I'm a new fan!

Here's an easy and delicious way to mix a margarita:

This stuff is basically just honey with a bit of a weird aftertaste. A few minutes later, I had a pretty bad belly ache. Didn't like it compared to GU or Clif energy gels. Although it did give me a good amount of energy for a long period of time, but you also get that with the other gels.

I tried the gold one and the ginsting. Both Were great. Much better then that...other stuff. It held my stomach hunger off for a while. I could see some improved energy. But then again climbing is exciting! These also taste very good in green jasmine tea on a cold morning.

Honey Stinger goes down easier than other gel/gus/gummies I've tried and provides a better boost. It's easy to tear off w/just one hand and your teeth.

The Honey Stinger is a convenient pouch of energy gel - I really like that it is all natural and has some caffeine in it. The consistency is like runny honey and was a little too sweet for my taste. It did keep me going on a medium ride (around 20 miles).

The sweetness can be overwhelming, but mixed with water it's a great snack, especially if you're looking for a change of pace from the routine gels and bars. As an adventure racer, it's a great source of carbs during long training sessions.

Absolutely delicious, and highly functional. This is my go to when the peak I'm trying to bag looks like it's just too far away. It's overdrive in a packet. Seriously, other flavors to me are meh. This gold is is the bees knees.

Used these while hiking for a quick and easy boost on the go. Hiking 9-12 miles after 10hrs of work and before dinner, they give the extra boost to keep going. Would also be nice for distance runners.

After decades of using GU, I wanted to try something new--and particularly a product without chemical preservatives. This was it, and the first few times I felt just as energized as I did with Gu.

These are the best gels out there, period! With great energy from honey and then add in B Vitamins and all the salts you need for sustained workouts. This product can not be beat.

The first taste of this was pretty good, but after that it was extremely cloying and hard to make myself swallow. A good idea, I guess, but not good for eating alone.

But seriously, this tastes like raw honey! Unlike most flavored energy shots the Honey Stinger tastes great and gives you the boost to make the extra mile.

I use Honey Stingers to make peanut butter and honey sandwiches to take on my longer bike rides. They are also tastey just to squeeze right in your mouth.

Honey Stingers are a great energy booster. I carry them when I bike or mountain hike.

When doing anything requiring lots of energy take this with you, you'll thank yourself when you are burning out and getting tired.

An easy source of energy, sometimes I put these into my teas in the morning or night to add a little sweetness while at camp.

Happy with the taste. Prefer the honey flavor over all the others. Great source of energy on the trail!

Best energy product out there, natural, no acid feeling after, no indigestion.

The human body can process honey better then the other sugars!

Delicious flavour of honey - nice change from the standard gel

Didn't taste too bad, actually tasted pretty much like honey.

Wonderful product and easy to use on the trails and biking.

Gave the caloric boost needed to run another BQ!!!
