I was fortunate enough to be gifted this coat. I appreciate how comfortable it keeps me at temperatures varying from 20-50 degrees. I had a problem with the jacket leaking a lot of down after 3 months and Mountain Hardware was great to deal with and ended up giving me a new one. I haven't had a problem since! This is my favorite jacket and it's perfect for travel.
Very compressible with high fill power. Although I haven't worn it yet, I'm giving it 5 stars because I tried two other brands and this one was so much softer, quieter and easier to compress. And fit much better. I'm 5'8" 138 and between a medium and large. The armholes were a little tight on the medium so I got the large which is not too big and I can sit in it. It doesn't have a two way zipper. I really like the Aristocrat blue - not too shiny.
I bought this jacket as a gift, but interact with the wearer on a regular basis. They have been quite happy with the comfort, warmth, fit, style, and other idealizations -realized and pondered - that this jacket embodies and exhibits. Were this the end the jacket would receive 5 stars.
A biking pal turned me into this coat. She wore it over a LS shirt biking when it was 35 degrees. She was toasty. This is a great jacket for everyday use to keep you warm when it's 40 or below. Packs into it's own pocket for traveling. Two side pockets. An inside one would be nice. Runs large. So if you generally wear a small consider an xs.
Purchased when I started making the switch to ultralight gear after reading reviews from the likes of Roman Dial, Max Neale, Forrest McCarthy, etc. Needed good warmth for weight on multi-week, self-supported packrafting trip to the Slope. If weight isn't a concern, you could easily do warmer with a slightly heftier, cheaper jacket. Very warm with careful layering, like with my Arcteryx Rho or Patagonia R1, and Black Diamond shell, if you aren't active. Less layering needed to stay warm in this when active. You'll overheat.
Cute light down jacket/sweater. I did have issues with the feathers coming out seams as well as the Zipper. Zipper teeth are plastic and zipper pull came off within 1st week of wearing it. I called company and they quickly replaced jacket. Jacket lasted another season (I ended up taping most of the seams in the shoulders and arms) and zipper has broken again.
I wore this jacket from Mexico to Canada and it’s STILL keeping me warm! Can’t recommend it enough. I definitely didn’t wear it in the rain if I could help it,l. The pack quality is the best, I now take it in my purse everywhere. I can’t believe it made it 6 months and still has TONS of life left.
I was very disappointed with this item. While the fit was nice - I'm 5'10 150lbs and I purchased a size M - the white was see through with dark down pieces visible and the jacket seemed very thin.
I️ have had this jacket for over a year and love how versatile it is! It has held up well with lot of abuse on many adventures. Awesome that it also packs so small.
