REI Co-op - Nodder 25 Sleeping Bag - Kids'

Category: Sleeping Bags

I bought this for my tall-ish 6.5-year-old, who is about 48 inches now, and I will be returning it since it seems that that there is only a little more growing room. I don't know how this would fit someone who is 60 inches. The bag seems very well-made and fits him perfectly now but if I want to use this next year, he needs a bigger one.

Looks awesome! My kids who are 3.5 and 7 years old each got one as a gift. Perfect for the 3.5 year old (especially with the cinch/stuff bag length reducer!) The 7 year old is 50" tall and his feet are bottomed out in the bag (the product info says up to 60"). Returned his and went for the REI Lumen Kids - its much larger (longer and wider) and seems to be a good fit.

We bought 2 of these for our then 3- and 5-year-olds. It's been a few months now and our kids love how cozy the bag wraps around them. The ability to adjust the size of the bag to keep the kids warmer is also a great feature. They haven't been used yet it colder temps below 50

Snug, well fitting bag!! I was tossing up a small adult down bag to finally keep the kids warm but this does the job just fine! Way warmer than other kids bags I've had that are supposedly 20/25 rated (not in the field!). The elastic instead of drawstring around the neck is fab. Dual zipper means in summer can be used almost like a duvet. The stuff bag when folded back up and tightened with the drawcord acts as bag "shortener". Don't need it on our 8 year old (average height) but for the 6 and 4 year old it makes it a nice shortening option. I reckon the 8 yo will get another good year out of it. After that it'll be too short for winter when wanting to use the hood. The straps keep it on the Big Agnes insulated air core mat just as well as the BA sleeve bags themselves (that said, because the sleeve bags by BA -other than the dedicated kids one which I can no longer get- are too big for kids they slide off the mat with the whole bag, so not BA's fault but adult bags just don't work for kids with their system). I got two 3/4 inch 40 inch straps and they just make it around the fat BA mat no problem. IF they roll off the mat, at least the mat rolls totally with them making them aware it's time to roll back on. Well, sort of, you know with kids it's always a bit of luck! Compressed it with my sea to summit large e-vent bag and the compression would be similar to my Nemo Rave 15 bag, maybe smaller, so pretty good. (The Rave not the smallest down bag but it's a good comparison anyway).
