As a result of my experience with The North Face and specifically this tent, I will NEVER buy another product from them again. The rain fly on my tent became extremely sticky to the point where pealing it apart felt as though I would need to tear the fabric. The customer service is terrible. The fly is not covered by warranty.
I purchased this tent last summer for a PCH motorcycle trip 2,400 miles. Couldn't have asked for a better tent.
I’ve owned a VE-25 for about 5 years now and I️ have taken it with me nearly everywhere I’ve ever gone. I sing this tents praises all the time. I️ am a mountaineer and when you need a tent that does the job and does it well, this is the tent! It would be a bit tight for 3 grown men but still easily doable. for 2 persons it is quite roomy and there are mesh pockets everywhere inside for storage which helps greatly in keeping everything organized. The gear loft accessory adds even more storage space and comes in quite handy quite often. The vestibules are roomy enough for a little gear and to cook/melt snow. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. It is heavy but it is rock solid, especially completely guyed out and anchored and if you split the weight with a good friend it is well worth the peace of mind that your home for the night can handle any type of weather.
Ive endured hurricane force winds, subzero temperatures, rain and snow, all in comfort. This tent has been worth every penny and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a tent that’s ready for anything. The only thing I️ wouldn’t recommend it for is summer camping in good weather. In that case it is too warm and a good mesh topped 3 season tent with a fly will serve better But from the first nip of fall through the dead of winter and to the last nip of spring, this tent reigns supreme! Great product.
