Marmot - Hydrogen Down Sleeping Bag

Category: Sleeping Bags

Best sleeping bag I've ever owned and worth every penny. I've traveled hard for more than 4 years with this bag, across North Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, Europe, and rarely staying in comfortable places. This bag has been my only blanket or physical comfort in some pretty miserable conditions, and it's still going strong. Absolutely recommend.

I sure like the size, weight, feel and construction of this bag but it barely kept me warm enough sleeping in shorts and T shirt on a Therm-a-rest Evolite pad at around 40 degrees in very dry weather. The down seems to shift in the tubes leaving cold spots. I held it up to the light and could see through it in many spots. May be a good summer bag but I won't be trusting it in any situation where the temp may fall below 40 or 45.

I've used this bag for 3 years, about 800 miles, from Apr to Oct in West Virginia, VA, MD, and on the AT. Zipper jams from time to time. I use a thermal-rest neoair lite. If I were to use this on a thru-hike, leaving in Mar or earlier, I'd take a liner. Stuff sack is still functioning, tough.

I've used this bag for a couple of years now. It's good with a therm-a-rest xl neo air. The zipper gets stuck some times, kind of irritating. It's good on the AT in April thru Oct in VA, WVA, and MD. Probably use it on my AT thru-hikers. No problem.
