This does a great job at keeping drinks cold. there is a great review out there form someone from Portland Orgeon that talks about how it's got the perfect lip and perfect base for a really good beer glass. It does a great job at not sloshing the beer around at the bottom making too much head but still producing a decent amount. Great for iced or hot coffee too, really it just keeps stuff the same temp it was when you put it in for a longer time.
My husband bought this and bragged about how cool it keeps his beer--so he bought one for me. Now the joke in our family is "if it takes you an hour to drink a beer, you have a problem!" LOL! It keeps my soda and ice frigid, haven't tried hot drinks yet. But no sweating and it does not feel cold to the touch! AWESOME! I highly recommend ANY HydroFlask product (I also have the 32 oz bottle--which kept ice water for three days, actually still ice left, even during 3 hours in 100 degree temps. Clearly I need to drink more . . . )
I've been looking to replace the 16oz plastic cup I've had for years. I bought one of these cups to try out because I've been happy with my water bottle by the same maker. ive had this for about 6 weeks and have used it many times. I haven't dropped it yet so I don't know how well the powder coat holds up but I do know the double walls keep my drinks cold for a long time. I also like that the outside of the cup doesn't weep and leave wet rings on my table. I was surprised to find slivers of ice remaining in the bottom of the cup the next morning on a couple of occasions.
Really love these glasses. Bought two for my boyfriend and me for our last camping trip. Love the lip and how cold it keeps everything w no condensation. I am buying two more so my kids can use them too and using them for everyday -everyone has their own color and after a drink (that they take 2 sips out of) they can easily rinse and keep accessible. Saves me from having to fetch and get them a new glass every hour!
We have been using Hydro Flask water bottles for several years, and have been impressed with their insulating abilities. So, when I saw this at my local REI store, I just had to get one (yellow) for my wife. She loves a tall glass of soda water over ice as we sit on the back porch after work, and this puppy keeps her drink chilled to the end. Very easy to hold and drink from too. I was worried that the absence of a lid would diminish the insulating, but no problems there. And I can already tell that this glass will hold up under any camping scenario.
These are the best cups!! If looking for alternatives to plastic these are it!! We use them for cocktails and water.
I got this mainly for use outside during the Texas summer. I accidentally put it to the test on the 4th of July. While we were playing corn hole in the backyard I set the cup on the shelf of the grill. After the game, the outside of the cup was so hot I could barely hold it because I set it too close to the grill. The beer on the inside was still nice and cold!
Great cup but wish it was a bit larger (20 oz) for adding some ice and came with an optional cover/lid. Bottom could be a bit larger. Feels like it may tip over with a full glass. Other than that, it's as advertised. Sturdy, just like the hydro flasks, and doesn't sweat with a cold beverage inside.
Love it. Bought it for beer but it keeps my lemonade ice cold too... Ice water, why would I use any other cup?
Great for beer, soda, or any cold drink! It really works and works better than a frozen glass beer mug.
Since all of the products that I’ve previously ordered from Hydro Flask have come with lids, I assumed that this cup would also come with a lid. I’m not sure it wasn’t clearly stated in the product listing or if I just didn’t read closely enough. I haven’t been able to find a lid that properly fits this cup. So, it’s great for home or camping but not great for driving or work (with kombucha not beer). Aside from the lack of a lid, I like the cup.
Great insulated glass, but really needs a lid! Wanted a couple of these for use around the campsite, but you can’t turn your back on your beer or you’ll be sharing it with a bee. A lid would make this a five star product. Thought I could buy one but they’re not available.
Love this little cup. I did do the wrong thing and put it in the washing machine before reading I was not to. It scuffed up the outside a bit but didn't do any lasting damage. Then I put it in the freezer. Another no no. Didn't do any lasting damage either, but I only did it the once. Just pour something cold in it and when you are down to the last bit it will still be cold. I love that. Very happy with it.
I used my cup for 1st time last night with dinner and a pint. I really enjoyed as did my husband who likes to freeze cups to keep beer really cold. I have a Hydroflask bottle that travel with. I would never fill with beer- this is a cup for stationary drinking. I don't use a lid at dinner. I really like the lip of the cup which I'm presuming would be different if it were designed for a lid. Buying another!
I like the glass as it held my coffee hot enough to enjoy slowly. And a good lip to drink from. The big problem and it's Hugh, it's very trippy on a flat surface and even worse in vehicle cup holders. I found it was always moving from side to side on corners. 3.5 stars.
I received this just before a little heat wave in San Diego and am upset I left in in my buddy's car after golfing. Keeps your drink cool on a hot day. Probably for hours but it's so cold and delicious I can never tell. Ice stays solid for hours and the colors just make you feel cool while drinking.
Best Father's day present a tired n' sleepy dad could ask for. After waking up from my Rip Van Winkle sleep session the golden nectar I cracked open and poured into my True Pint is as cold as the garage fridge I pulled it from. Making every time, a good time to get crack a' lackin'.
This pint is awesome. I use it for coffee and beer and it keeps them both perfect. There is not a lid so it won't stay as hot/cold like the bottles do, but much longer than a normal glass or mug. I now have two for myself and have given one as a gift and no complaints.
If you like your beer cold at the end of the glass, even in the heat of summer, this is the glass for you. On a hot and steamy Maryland day, beer was still cold at the bottom and refreshing. Lightweight and no sweaty glass make this a great glass for home or away.
Bought a 64 oz growler through REI Garage and fell in love. 2 weeks after we went back and bought 2 more 24 oz. flasks, and 4 of these 16 oz. cups. Love the quality of these flasks, and they live up to the hype. I don't drink out of anything else but these!
We bought two (cobalt and orange) and use them almost daily. They really do keep cold drinks cold for quite some time, even without having a lid! I don't know how a ridiculously light and cute cup does this, but it does! Easy to clean (hand wash).
Got two of these for my girlfriend and myself and we both love them. Keeps a beer cold for much longer than it should take to drink one. We live in south Florida and even outside in the summer it will keep ice for a considerable amount of time.
I live in Arizona where cold drinks are needed for most of the year. This non-glass glass keeps a drink and ice cold for many hours. I've had ice last for most of a day in it. It seems a bit expensive but it's my way of surviving global warming.
I Bought this mostly for home use and am not upset that I did. My wife and I got different colors so now there's never any speculation whose drink is whose. The double wall sides maintain temperature quite well and make these a joy to use.
I love this hydroflask cup! I love hydroflask in general, and I was a bit skeptical since it is an open top, but this thing keeps my drinks cold. The best part is it doesn't sweat on the outside and my hands stay dry (and not cold).
The cup is an excellent example of a well thought out design to satisfy customers not familiar with the Hydro Flask line. The metal lip on the cup is a good feature that kind of "cools your lips" as you take a drink.
Ever put ice cubes in your filtered water to keep it cold? Unless the water used to make the ice cubes is filtered you just contaminated that fresh filtered water! Not with this glass, the water stays cold for hours!
I first bought 2 of these and was so impressed with performance (keeps cold drinks cold, and hot ones hot) and ease of keeping them clean that I bought 4 more. Essentially these have replaced our glass drink glasses.
I have had this 16 oz cup in green for over a year & love it! Keeps any cold beverage cold. Have not used with hot drinks. Boyfriend loved cup so got him one in grey so he can drink his beer & stop using my cup.
I absolutely love the hydro flask for everyday use. It keeps beverages cold all day without any condensation on the exterior common with glass.
Totally worth the investment, cup does not sweat, ice stays ice for a very long time, 3 - 4 times that of a normal glass, love it totally.
I drink any and all liquids in my Hydro Flask tumblers. Coffee to ice tea. Easy to clean and use again and again.
Ordered two, the rim was dented on one when we got it in the mail. So it must be a little delicate.
Love this cup, great quality, keeps drinks cold much better than glass. Great color and texture.
I've found that cheaper brands leave a weird metallic taste. Hydro Flasks are the best!
LOVE IT !!!! Want it in every color. Keeps my cocktail cold even in Costa Rica heat.
Fabulous.Keeps everything either Hot or Cold. You Choose!
I love this product it helps keep my coffee hot longer .

Is there a lid we can purchase that will fit appropriately?
As of April 2017, Hydro Flask does not make a lid that is compatible with this pint glass.
