I read plenty of reviews in the past about this not being sized well. I thought REI would fix it in 3+ years since these negative reviews came up. They did NOT. So I am sitting on the mountain trying to figure out, why this REI manufactured footprint doesn't fit REI manufactured tent.. tried it twice, another guy tried it, we both failed. We give up and are returning this product for a refund
Purchased this for my new Quarter Dome 2 REI tent. It kept the floor of our tent perfectly dry during a rainy camping trip and nice and clean as well. Couldn't help but notice it was smaller than ideal for the tent though.
Like other REI products, this seemed to be a quality product that performed well. Unlike other reviewers' experiences, this footprint seemed to work well with Quarter Dome 2.
Poor design. It should be sold with the individual tents and should match the identical footprint like other manufactures. Only recommend it because you need footprint and the Quarter Dome doesn't come with one. No one told me about the need for a footprint either time I purchased a tent (I started with a one man then went to the 2 man).
The cut is appropiate to fit the Quarter dome but the straps are too long! This creates too much space between the base of the tent and footprint. I feel like this would accumulate any dirt in no time.
I only bought this so that I could use it with the fly and poles. As others have said, the straps are too long. Very poor job measuring for a tent and footprint that was pretty pricey.
great footprint, perfect size to lay our tent on. super lightweight and compact. our footprint still looks new after being used on sand, dirt, and a bit of gravel.
Haven't used yet. Will use soon. It got great reviews and for the price you can't beat it!
Light weight and made to fit size. However, for the price of the tent it should have been included.
As many many others have said, this does not fit the tent and REI continues to sell it.
This was a very easy footprint to use especially as a new tent camper.
