Snow Peak - Titanium Multi Compact Cookset

Category: Camp Kitchen

This is a fantastic set of cookware. Extremely lightweight and durable, but best of all the size is just right. The small 26 oz. pot is just big enough to fit a small 4 oz. MSR fuel canister, saving plenty of space. The handles are also a smart idea and are great during storage. I got this set with a 20% off deal and shipping was free. It came within a few days. Overall, the price is not ideal, but when you factor in durability and weight, titanium is the way to go. You are going to spend a little extra for a high quality product.

Although light and strong the “fitted, snap on/off” looking lid does not actually stay in place with the handle flipped over and extended. With both sizes the lids will pop or fall off with little to no pressure or movement causing me more than once to have to clean out the lid after it has fallen on the ground and into the snow or dirt. Specifically, I’m talking about cold or saved food to be re-cooked in the morning, not while cooking (we don’t want explosions). A perfectly placed glove, rock or stick has kept the lid on so that’s a work around I guess. I can fit the 100g canister of fuel, my Snow Peak Ti burner, a lighter, small bottle of dish soap and several paper towels in the smaller pot with the lids on. Additionally, I can fit two dinner plates and two sets of silverware in the mesh bag so my kit has everything my wife and I need to use to cook a nice meal. In general I have been kind of unhappy with the handles on the pots as well because they don’t stay to the sides and kind of just swing around. I also have to make a very tight fist to keep enough pressure on the handles to hold and move the pots around. In general, kind of an annoying set.

This cookware has been through it all. It has not only been used for many backpacking, car camping, and hiking adventures; it has also withstood many moves and being tighly packed and stored in many temps and spaces. It has stodd up to being crammed and heated to much and still looks like new! Some of the lighest and best I have used.

Snow Peak Titanium Multi Compact Cookset

I've always been able to "get by" with the cook set that I'e acquired over the years. My last trip threw me though, I had my meals all planned and purchased to cook mostly over a fire and due to dry conditions there was a fire ban. Off to REI I go...Everything was too big or too small. All I wanted was a pot and decent sized fry pan. It all came down to this set and the Snow Peak Hybrid Trail Cookset. I decided on this one. This is my first experience with titanium...This is incredibly light and durable and fairly non-stick(much more so than non-coated aluminum or stainless steel)

I've always gotten by with 'cheap stuff'. Now, backpacking with kids and often carrying more than just my gear I've been willing to spend more to have less weight. This set has many advantages besides weighing less. I'm certain this Snow Peak set will continue to be used long after I'm finished with it. I'm in the process now of replacing all plastic and aluminum cookware and utensils I own with Snow Peak titanium.

I should have read the finer print to realize how small these are. Great for one person not great for two.

Whether you are cooking food in the pot (hello, Ramen Bomb) or just boiling water to pour into an expensive Mountain House meal bag, a great cook pot is a must. Enter the SnowPeak titanium pot and lid.

This is a great option to go with if you need an entry set of cookwear. I actually use the smaller pot to heat water for a cup of tea on a daily basis. When I head out into the great outdoors, the set goes with me.

I purchased this set for the weight. Not only is it ligthweight, but you can leave behind parts you don't need and pack other items into the kit. The handles that extent out allow you to heat water or stew on a stove and pick up the pot without a glove. Easy to clean when done.

This is the best cookset I've ever had. It's lightweight, easy to clean, and is as durable as every heavier-weight set I've had. It's a great way to shave a few ounces off the backpack!

Looking at all the lightest options that can be used on the trail, as well, this set was the best of all options. I've got a VW Westy with two burners and a MSR back=up for a third burner.

This is a beautiful set but I realize I don't need too many pieces and a size in between the 2 sizes would fit my needs better. I just order the Snow Peak 900 and this would be enough for me.

I purchased this set as well as the Snow Peak 900 and settled on using just the larger pot and lid on this set for my solo adventures. The larger pot was a perfect size to cook in and eat out of. It is extremely light and cleans up easily. I removed the handles and use a pot lifter to avoid HOT handles. I've used it on both a wood burning stove and a Snow Peak Giga stove. Cleaning the soot off was easy by just scrubbing it on some wet dirt or sand. I carried a metal scrub pad that worked extremely well too. Titanium is lightweight, handles heat very well and cools quickly, which is great! I made my own meals with freeze dried ingredients and would add water and food to the pot, bring to a boil and then take it off the stove put on the lid and let it finish cooking and rehydrating...without a cozy. The meals stayed amazingly hot this way. I tried using the lid as a fry pan, but food always seemed to stick. An additional lightweight fry pan like REI's is a much better option. Titanium is expensive, but well worth it for the weight savings and cooking capabilities, not to mention a healthier cooking metal.

I bought this to replace the aluminum pots I was using. The size is a tad smaller, but still big enough to cook whatever I need. The weight makes it invaluable on longer hikes.

We are mostly car campers now, but this set will replace parts of our old one very well. I was glad to be able to apply my gift card to it, as it is fairly pricey.

Great set, paired with a msr windpro stove for a nice and light camp kitchen!
