The North Face - Hedgehog Fastpack GTX Low Hiking Shoes - Women's

Category: Women's Footwear

I loved these shoes when I first got them - they are sturdy and relatively waterproof. However after just a few hikes in them - the sole of one is ripping from the rest of the shoe. I am very disappointed in the overall quality and expected much better.

I bought a previous version of these shoes in 2012 and LOVED them. They finally needed to be replaced, so I ordered these. I have a narrow foot, and this version was much wider than the previous. Would not reccommend for a narrow foot. Also, the sole is not as grip-y as it was before.

I bought these shoes to walk part of the Camino in and I’m completley satisfied! Even though I walked about 15 miles in them every day for two weeks they didn’t give me any blisters, and they were very comfortable and supportive the whole time. They’re also reasonably waterproof, I stepped into a stream hiking in these and my foot stayed dry as far as I could tell. The only drawback I’ve had with these shoes is that when they were new, they had poor traction on wet pavement. Overall I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

I bought these shoes a month ago, and absolutely love them. I walk in them every day: mostly on cement, sometimes on grass. I walk about 35 miles a week. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned, and I've actually been walking a bit more than normal because my feet feel great at the end of my usual walk. This is my first pair of North Face shoes - I've tried a variety of brands in the past, and these are the best! Haven't had a single issue, and I've gotten a lot of compliments on how they look!

I am not picky about shoes/cushion/arch etc. BUT this shoe was actually painful! Part of the 'tongue' poked down into the top of my foot and actually made a bruise after just wearing for 2-3hours! Ow!

I've had these shoes for just barely two years and they are no longer waterproof. My feet get very wet . I'm extremely disappointed.

I think these would work well for others, but for me, the sides of the shoe were too high, and they would press up against my ankle bone from the bottom. It turned out to be too painful and even with a Superfeet insole, it didn't seem to work. For others, it might be fine.

The toe box seems narrow and I think it might rub on the outside of my little toes. Just an FYI.

Good traction. Comfortable. A little stiff to start , but loosened up quickly.

This is my 3rd pair of The North Face "Hedgehog" hiking shoes! The have great support, are light weight & waterproof. They are so comfy that I frequently wear them for daily errands. For travel, they take less space in my suitcase than my other hiking shoes.

I was looking for something to travel in that has multiple uses, including trails and hard pavement for city touring. Thus far, they are great! Love wearing them on hard pavement, where my body is most prone to fatigue and injury.

Comfort and support are perfect. This is my second pair of north face. I usually wear 8 but read last year hikers need one size up so toes are happy. I ordered these in 9. Feet are happy and I'm happy

The women's Hedgehog Fastpack GTX Low Hiking Shoes; is the most confortable shoes I ever have. Thank you. NENA

These were perfect for my hike up Long's Peak. I'm excited to hike even more 14ers with these awesome shoes!

Super light! Very comfortable at first wear, breathable & yes truly waterproof. Good grip with soles.

I purchased these hiking shoes to go on a week long trip to Glacier Ntl Park. They were fantastic. No need to break them in. Comfortable and the best part, waterproof! It rained so much while we were there and my feet stayed dry. Now I use them for going to football games and have been caught in some downpours...still warm and dry! They were a great investment for what I want to use them for.

I bought a pair of these shoes about a month ago. So far I’ve gone on 6 hikes and put about 80 miles on them and they’re amazingly comfortable. The grip is excellent and makes any hike so much easier. I’m heading back to REI tonight to buy a second pair for when these wear out and my girlfriend is picking up a pair as well. Couldn’t be happier

I’m on my third pair of these shoes! I wear them walking the dog as well as hiking on trails. I needed a sturdier shoe and these work perfectly for me. I’m very happy with the eyelets design on the new pair. With the previous two pairs the laces had to be replaced almost immediately. All in all a good shoe.

I have North Face shoe that looks like this but not waterproof and I love them but needed to replace. I bought this one in size 7 and it is too big, probably half size. i was getting blisters on my big toes. I hiked in them twice so I don't think I can return. I would love them if they fit right.

I have hiked all my life and never owned hiking shoes/boots. I tried them on at the store and then tested on a 7 mile round trip,1500 ft elevation hike. My feet were in perfect condition! The traction on the very steep descent was the most impressive feature.

I purchased these shoes because I recently started hiking again but did not want to wear my sturdy hot leather ones. They are comfortable and broke in easily. After 2 days and 25 miles my feet felt great, no blisters or hot spots

I wanted to find a water-resistant, v-notch type shoe to make walking in winter more comfortable. I have been pleased with these; I have tendonitis in my left Achilles tendon, and these have reduced my pain dramatically.

These shoes are very pretty, but the soles are so inflexible they are impossible to walk in. Even though I think they're pretty, they will be going back for a refund. Horribly uncomfortable.

I went to change my original purchase as I faced some discomfort on my ankle, it was easy. Staff was extremely helpful so I ended up buying another pair besides my changed ones.

I am very happy with this purchase. This shoe is lightweight, yet sturdy and supportive as well as comfortable. Price is very reasonable especially considering it's waterproof.

Great shoe. Good support and comfortable. I’ve don’t a fair amount of street walking in them and will

These shoes fit perfectly the first time I have tried them on. So comfortable. I have not done any real hiking in them yet but looking forward to it.

I tried to give these shoes a chance, but they're done. They LOOK pretty, but they feel like 2x4's are strapped to my feet. No flexibility. Ouch!

No break in needed. I've done over 3000 stairs in two days preparing for a trip. Light, comfortable, no toe bang. So far very happy.

They felt a bit stiff in the beginning but have conformed to my foot and offer great support without being a bulky shoe.

Love these shoes. I've hiked and backpacked in a variety of conditions and locations and never had an issue.

Wife loves the fit, comfort and the confidence the shoe gives her on the trail.

I bought them to take on Alaska cruise super comfy and soles will be great

Great for distances - kept my feet dry - no blisters on my feet.
